In the mid-eighties, Jeff’s first exposure to farming was helping with the herd of Angus cattle that the Vazquez’s had for decades. In addition to managing the business, Jeff is in charge of rebuilding the infrastructure of the farm, keeping the machinery running, helping with the care of the animals, and occasionally helping with the crops.
Farm Owner, Nadine, grew up at Whitehall since 1960 when her family acquired it. Always surrounded by a herd of Angus cattle, dairy cows, goats, dogs, and horses, Nadine is an animal lover who wants to keep the farm property preserved for her family and community.
Caitlin has a deep passion for sustainable agriculture and all things farm related. Along with the hours she puts in at the market, she also manages the sustainability program at George Mason University's dining services.
Abby is a full-time college student and has been working at Whitehall since 2015. Starting out as the chicken care-taker, she now wears many hats around the farm. Ensuring the care of the market, working special events, and some farm work is all in her job description.
Joe has been working at Whitehall for the past year as our main farmhand. He ensures the animals are fed and well taken care of as well as handling general farm upkeep.
Randy McKeen has been working at Whitehall since August 2019 and has been enjoying the fulfilling work ever since.
Although from Alabama, he enjoys the local culture in Virginia.
